Local actor Armando Bernal nominated for an Emmy for his role in PBS's Kid Stew
Local Miami Lakes actor Armando Bernal IV has been nominated for a Suncoast Regional Emmy award for his talent as performer and narrator. Bernal is best known for his role in PBS’s new show “Kid Stew.” The show is hosted by pre-teens, and was created to engage older children in creative expression through reading, music or art.
Bernal is a life-long Miami Lakes resident, and is a Miami Lakes K-8 Center alum. Since he was 5-years-old, Bernal has pursued his passion in acting, and it now seems all his hard work has paid off with the nomination of this prestigious award. He strives to finish middle school with a 4.0 grade point average, but the young star plans on making it big in Hollywood, and hopes to earn a role in a full length feature film.
“I’ve learned a lot from every job I’ve ever done,” explained Bernal. “Every job is different and brings different experiences. I love meeting new people.”
