Pace High's James Williams receives scholarship offers from multiple universities

At only 14 years old, Monsignor Edward Pace High School’s James Williams has shown many local spectators and recruiters from around the nation that he is a force to be reckoned with.

At the beginning of the season, head football coach Joe Zaccheo recognized the talents he brings to the Spartan team by stating that Williams “might just be the next Sean Taylor.” Since then, he has continued to work hard to prove himself both on and off the field.

Standing tall at 6’4 and 200 pounds, the Spartan safety and linebacker has already received numerous football scholarship offers from several universities. The first offer came from Florida Atlantic University followed by Syracuse University.

The third offer arrived when University of Miami’s (UM) defensive coach Manny Diaz visited Zaccheo two weeks ago and offered Williams an offer on the spot. The conversations with recruiters continued as he received two more offers from Pittsburgh University and the University of Tennessee last week.

With 3 years of high school football ahead of him as a Spartan, Williams will have plenty of time to consider the opportunities ahead of him before becoming eligible to commit to a university as a senior.
