Councilman Frank Mingo launches campaign for Fla. House District 103

Miami Lakes Councilmember Frank Mingo officially launched his bid for the Florida House District 103 seat two weeks ago at Hialeah Park.

Joining Mingo for his campaign kickoff party were several council members, Miami-Dade Commission chair Esteban Bovo Jr., State Senator Rene Garcia and term-limited State Representative Manny Diaz Jr., whose seat Mingo is seeking.

“I’m honored to have Commissioner Bovo, Senator Rene Garcia and Representative Manny Diaz and Bryan Avila and all my friends and family going me for our campaign event,” Mingo said. “We ready to launch and talk to our community and earn every vote.”

Mingo, a supply chain manager for Oliva Cigar Company, has been a Miami Lakes council member since 2013.

Previously, he served on the Miami Lakes Economic Development Committee, Miami Lakes Police Department Review Committee and president of the Silvercrest North Homeowners Association.

He has lived in Miami Lakes for 31 years.
