International violin soloist Eric Silberger returns for MLCC event
Virtuoso violinist Eric Silberger returns to Miami Lakes to play three Beethoven violin sonatas joining local and renown pianist Adolfo Vidal for an evening of chamber music at Miami Lakes Congregational Church at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 22.
The church is located at 6701 Miami Lakeway South, across from Miami Lakes K-8 Center.
Silberger is a prize winner of the XIV International Tchaikovsky Competition and the Michael Hill International Violin Competition in 2011. His performances have been described by critics as “spine-tingling...astonishing” (The Guardian), “dazzling virtuoso playing” (The Washington Post), and “he has got everything in his favour, technique, composure and personality. We are on the eve of a great soloist” )El Pais, Spain).
He has performed as soloist, recitalist and chamber musician throughout the United States and around the world including solo performances with the St. Petersburg Philharmonia, Marlinsky Orchestra, Konzerthausorchester Berlin, Chamber Orchestra of the Marlinsky Theatre, London Philharomia, Munich Chamber Orchestra, Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra and the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, among others.
Silberger has appeared at the Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, the Kennedy Center, the Louvre in Paris, the Great Hall of the St. Petersburg Philharmonia, the Moscow International House of Music in Russia, Seoul Arts Center in Korea and more.
The suggested concert donation is $15. A reception will follow the performance with the artists. The program is part of the Church’s annual concert series and is co-presented by South Florida Friends of Classical Music and the Town of Miami Lakes.
