Miami Laker Kristina Martinez-Costa named the Outstanding Resident of Year

Local resident Doctor Kristina Martinez-Costa recently graduated with honors as a Doctor in Osteopathic Medicine from Nova Southeastern Medical School. She finishes her residency as an osteopathic obstetrician and gynecological surgeon in Chicago from the Midwestern University/OPTI, Presence-Resurrection St. Francis program this June.
For the past year she has been chief resident of her program and most recently was awarded two prestigious awards. In October 2018, she was presented with the AOF Outstanding Resident of the year in Obstetrics and Gynecology Award in San Diego, California. Most recently in March she was presented with the MEFACOOG Outstanding Resident of the Year Award in New Orleans, Louisiana. She has a passion for her profession and her patients and is currently interviewing to join a reputable practice and looks forward to returning to Miami Lakes.
