Miami Lakes resident Elizabeth Acuña Nuevo, the owner and director of Artistic Dance Center in Doral, announced the opening of her second studio in Hialeah Gardens designed to serve Hialeah, Palm Springs North and Miami Lakes.

“Last year we celebrated our 10th anniversary in Doral. Now we’re thrilled to be opening another studio,” said Nuevo. The Hialeah Gardens location is based in the former site of Ballet Ouvert at 8051 West 24 Avenue. “It was an excellent opportunity for us to come into a space that was already designed for ballet. Many of the former students were pleased to stay on board and call Artistic Dance Center their new home,” Nuevo added.

Artistic Dance Center has been the recipient of the “Best School” award by the American Dance Competition (an International Ballet Competition) for six consecutive years. “Our philosophy is not only to teach the technical skills needed to become a successful dancer, but also to teach the life skills needed to become a successful person,” Nuevo said. “Even our youngest students learn skills such as perseverance, dedication, commitment and discipline.”

Artistic Dance Center provides dance instruction for students, ages 3 and up, in ballet, jazz, hip-hop, flamenco, tumbling and aerial silk training. Additionally, it offers adult ballet classes, private lessons and an intensive ballet program. The school holds annual student performances, as well as company productions such as the “Nutcracker.”
