The Miami Lakes town council honored The Keyes Company of Miami Lakes for its 25th anniversary and for staff and company fundraising efforts on behalf of the Jesse L. McCrary, Jr. Elementary School, feeding the hungry and for cancer research.

“The owner is a great example in our community, who is not only a friend but somebody who has done amazing work in the town of Miami Lakes and somebody who showcases what ethics is in the real estate world,” Mayor Manny Cid said during the March 12 council meeting about Alex Ruiz, district sales manager and broker-associate. “He is one of those folks who always ensures that [he] and all the realtors under him always do the right thing by their clients.”

“I’m very proud and honored to receive this proclamation on behalf of my office, my agents, my company,” Alex Ruiz said. “It’s really an honor to work and live in Miami Lakes. With the cancer research at Sylvester [University of Miami Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center], we have been sponsoring it for about 11 years, we’ve collected over $2.1 million dollars.”
