Eddy Sedeño and his wife Melissa have taken ownership of Taylor Orthodontics, a long-established orthodontic practice in the Windmill Gate Shopping Center in Miami Lakes, 16375 N.W. 67 Avenue, which is now known as Specialty Smiles.
Sedeño is a homegrown Miami Lakes native who attended Our Lady of the Lakes, Monsignor Pace High School and is a “triple gator,” as is his wife, both having earned their undergraduate degrees, specialty degrees and completed residencies at the University of Florida.
When the opportunity came to take over Taylor Orthodontics, Sedeño jumped at the opportunity. The practice, which has a loyal patient base, will be transitioning under the care of the Sedeño’s who are working currently with Dr. Taylor to familiarize themselves with patient histories.
Melissa Sedeño is board certified and Eddy Sedeño is board eligible, with the American Board of Orthodontics, which only one in three orthodontists are certified due to the extensive hundreds of additional hours of preparation for ultimate patient treatment. They are also part of the American Association of Orthodontists.
“Dr. Taylor’s practice has such a great reputation, we are very happy and excited to continue that reputation and offer great treatment to the Miami Lakes community. I’m happy to be back in my hometown,” said Eddy Seneño.
Free consultations are available and services offered include invisalign, metal braces, clear braces, and more for adults and children.
