For three years, Rasjhen Cotton has been the “go to” associate for Express Employment Professionals of Miami-Dade North based in Miami Lakes.
No car has been no problem for Cotton. He takes the bus or rides his bike to the Express office every morning to “mark himself available” for any assignment in an office, warehouse or even as Obie the mascot for the Orange Bowl in his time at Express. He has taken assignments with 24 different companies.
In recognition of his exceptional performance and positive attitude, the Miami Lakes office selected him as Employee of the Year in 2018. He was then chosen as regional Employee of the Year with a $1,000 award and was one of five finalists for the national Employee of the Year winning an additional $5,000.
Since Express Employment Professionals employed a record 566,000 people in 2018, this made Cotton “one in a half million.”
Cotton recently completed the Express Bridge to a job program making the transition from a temporary worker to a full-time employee with a local aeronautics firm.
“We wish Rasjhen the very best in his new career and hope we can find a couple of clones so that we can continue impressing clients by matching good people with good companies,” said Express Professionals’ Miami Lakes owner Michael Huffaker.
