Giardino’s Gourmet Salads marks 3rd anniversary in ML

Miami Lakes’ own Giardino’s Gourmet Salads at 8008 N.W. 154th Street in the Park Centre Shops celebrated its third anniversary by gifting every 30th customer on June 30 with a $30 gift card.

Giving back to the community is a theme that owners Lily Tudela, Jaime Mitrani and Robert Furth try to inject into their successful business venture, and they’re often spotted catering for local businesses or Town Council, or participating in events like Cars for a Cure and the Farmer’s Market. They also provided meals for a first responder’s appreciation luncheon.

Out of 13 locations, the Miami Lakes Giardino’s has snagged and stayed at the number one spot for most profitable franchise since they first opened three years ago. Within the first year, they hit a million dollars in sales, repeated their triumph the second year and are poised to do the same for their third year. The restaurant was named “2016 Business of the Year” by the Town of Miami Lakes.

“Our store opened with a lot of the new facets and features of what older stores were transitioning into,” said Tudela, “so ours really became the standard for the image and menu items. It’s been awesome that from the day we opened we became the number one store and have maintained that every month since then.”

The healthy lunch stop caters to a town of health-conscious residents, as evidenced by the restaurant’s most purchased menu item, the “My Way” salad, wrap and grain bowl options which allow customers to make unique and tasty creations to order exactly the way they prefer. Tudela’s personal favorite is the Mama Mia Salad.

The restaurant houses fresh produce every day, cut and prepared on site and their menu items are customized, not previously prepared. The healthy alternative to fast food is expanding its reach now by joining UberEATS in addition to their own delivery options.
