Giving Gators fulfill students' holiday wish lists

The nonprofit Giving Gators, Miami Lakes councilmembers, Miami-Dade County Public School officials and sponsors joined forces to bring in the spirit of the holidays to local schools. Giving Gators collected Wish Lists from students in grades Pre-K to 12 who were asking to receive much needed articles including laptops, bicycles, and sneakers. With the assistance of the community, and local business sponsors, the effort was able to raise over $2,800 in contributions to make the wish lists come true. “The students smiles were priceless when opening their gifts,” said Daylin Garcia of Giving Gators. “We are appreciative of all the sponsors and volunteers who made this event happen.”
