JetStream Federal Credit Union celebrated its Juntos Avanzamos (Together We Advance) designation along with the Grand Opening of its new Doral branch on March 8. JetStream is the first credit union in Florida to receive this honor.
The Juntos Avanzamos designation is awarded to credit unions that are committed to serving the Hispanic community by providing education and services that improve financial well-being.
“We are dedicated to our members’ prosperity and truly committed to identifying and serving the needs of our diverse, multi-ethnic community,” said JetStream president and CEO Jeanne Kucey.
“Seventy-five percent of our members reside in low-income zip codes and they need our help. All of our JetStream team members are Community Development Certified Financial Counselors and we are one of the very few credit unions nationwide that have achieved this full-staff certification,” Kucey said.
Mark Rodriguez from Allied Solutions served as Master of Ceremonies for the Grand Opening which featured guest speakers, member testimonials, gourmet food, entertainment and door prizes. Over 100 people were in attendance including representatives from the National Federation of Community Development Credit Unions along with numerous community and business leaders.
Doral Mayor Jean Carlos Bermudez officiated the ribbon cutting along with the JetStream team.
