The Greater Miami & The Beaches Hotel Association honored employees of Miami Lakes Hotel on Main, the Miami Lakes Athletic Club and the Miami Lakes Golf Club during the 26th Annual Inn Key Awards Luncheon held June 6 at the Hilton Miami Downtown. The staffers work in the hospitality division of The Graham Companies, which owns those properties. The employees are the faces of the company and were recognized by it and the association for their customer service skills and dedication to their careers.

Joseph Daniel won Recreation/Spa Employee of the Year. He is Head Starter at Miami Lakes Golf Club, and his length of service is 31 years. Numerous clients and friends wrote letters to recommend Daniel for the award. They praised his welcoming presence; knowledge of the game and his ability to get golfers onto the Miami Lakes Golf Course at their tee times. Director of Golf Kenny Fill wrote that he wished he had “100” staffers like Daniel, calling him a “model employee” who was deserving of the prestigious award.

      The nominees were:

Dreylis Perez, Front Office Employee of the Year, front desk supervisor at Miami Lakes Hotel on Main. Length of Service: 3 years.

Marie Sylvie Beauchamp, Culinary/Kitchen Employee of the Year, Miami Lakes Hotel on Main. Length of Service: 23 years.

Andrea Ruiz, Outstanding Lodging Employee of the Year, Miami Lakes Hotel on Main. Length of Service: 4 years.

Raul Santiago, Roomkeeper of the Year, Miami Lakes Athletic Club. Length of Service: 16 years.

The Greater Miami & The Beaches Hotel Association gave the nominees pins and certificates. Joseph Daniel received a plaque, a check for $500 and four tickets for a party cruise.
