Miami Lakes Neighborhood Improvement Committee (NIC) will present its 1st Annual Home Improvement Expo from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, January 20, at the Mary Collins Community Center, 15151 N.W. 82 Avenue, as part of Super Saturday at the Park.
Attendees can turn their home from a fixer-upper to a dream home by taking the opportunity to check out numerous home improvement related businesses and organizations that will be exhibiting, distributing literature, and providing information about their services.
Other events scheduled for Super Saturday at the Park include:
• NIC’s Community Bike Ride with SPIN Bike Sharing Program on the new 5.5 mile family-friendly route starting at Miami Lakes Picnic Park East - Youth Center, 6075 Miami Lakes Drive East. Registration opens at 9 a.m.
• Farmer’s Market from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Miami Lakes Picnic Park West.
• Yoga in the Park, free from 9 to 10 a.m., provided by 305 Yoga Studio.
• Boot Camp, provided by Fit Like Me Miami, from 9 to 10 a.m., first class is free, $5 per class following.
Businesses interested in being a vendor are urged to download the registration form by visiting www.miamilakes-fl.gov/nic. Deadline to register is Friday, January 12. All for-profit organizations need to include a copy of state license and certificate of insurance.
