On May 1, Greater Miami & the Beaches Hotel Association honored over 280 hotel employees across Miami-Dade County during the organization’s 21st Annual Inn Key Awards luncheon.
Over 950 hospitality, corporate and government leaders joined the hoteliers and their management teams to celebrate their hourly hotel employees, the “heart” of the tourism industry.
The 24 employee categories range from Bellmen and Housekeepers to Culinary and Engineering employees. Shula’s Hotel 7 Golf Club as well a Hotel Indigo-Miami Lakes were represented by nine nominated employees:

• Ivonne Perez, Roomkeeper of the Year
• Nathalie Joseph, Front Office Employee of the Year
• Henry Hermida, Culinary/Kitchen Employee of the Year
• Tayson Auguste, Security Officer of the Year
• Paul Zelasko, Administrative Employee of the Year
From Hotel Indigo-Miami Lakes:
• Erika Gomez, Lodging Employee of the Year
• Ernest Arney, Front Office Employee of the Year
• Miledis Batista, Roomkeeper of the Year
During the awards luncheon, it was reiterated that those employees who were nominated for an Inn Key Award are the best in their area of service. Shula’s Hotel & Golf Club and Hotel Indigo-Miami Lakes are proud of all of their nominees.
