JetStream Federal Credit Union participated in the recent annual Job Shadow Day with Miami-Dade County Public Schools.

Job Shadowing is a nationwide effort where students spend one school day exploring careers by shadowing business professionals.

Students from Barbara Goleman High School’s Academy of Finance went to JetStream’s headquarters in Miami Lakes and were first given an introduction about credit unions and how they operate.
They met with Jeanne Kucey to gain a CEO’s perspective of running and credit union, and chief financial officer John Frearson who explained the various financial reports.

The students were then able to interact and “shadow” employees from several departments including lending, accounting, care center, IT and collections.
