Shaping eyebrows through a technique called threading has become a recent trend in the U.S. but Just Brow Shop co-owners, sisters Sharmila Balmuri and Shalini Miriyala, have been experts at threading for many years including in their home country, India. Just Brow, a threading salon and the first of its kind in Miami Lakes, is set to open in early March at 16459 N.W. 67 Avenue in the Windmill Gate Shopping Center.
“After years of experience we have developed a painless technique,” said Miriyala. “Customers always ask ‘are you really doing it?’ because they can’t feel any pain. This is why we have people who are in town from New York, Chicago, Dallas and even India visit our threading salons.”
Miriyala and Balmuri also own threading salons in Ft. Lauderdale, Deerfield, Delray and Coral Springs. Just Brow will offer eyebrow shaping, and threading for cheeks, chin, sideburns and any other location on the face. The sisters train all their staff for precision and consistency. They also recommend that clients grow out eyebrows if they feel the shape isn’t correct for the face before any hair removal is done.
