Lawton Chiles Middle School Culture students visit Carrabba's Grill

On April 9, Carrabba’s Italian Grill in northwest Miami-Dade, generously opened its doors to young aspiring chefs attending the Italian Language and Culture program at Lawton Chiles Middle School. The event was led by managers Carlos Roseney and Ito Lopez who gave the students a fully hands on cooking class allowing them to prepare and cook the meals in teams. Students had a blast learning cooking skills and creating some Italian classics such as pasta con salsa di pomodoro, mozzarella fritta, pizza and the delizioso desert Sogno di cioccolato. Once the meals were completed the students sampled their creations. Pictured are students in the Italian Language and Culture program at Carrabba’s.
