Longtime Lakes resident open Fresh Barbershop

Business By R.A. Romero, The Miami Laker staff Tuesday, June 13, 2017

Longtime Miami Lakes residents, Aly and Edward Galdamez, are opening Fresh Barbershop, located at 16919 N.W. 67 Avenue, near Miami Lakes. The husband and wife team are venturing on a lifelong dream for Edward, who despite his youth, has been working as a barber for 17 years.

“This is a dream come true, and hopefully the first of many Fresh Barbershops that will continue to grow in the future,” said Aly.

The sleek and modern barbershop aims to provide quality service at an affordable price. With the price ranging between $15-20, locals have another option in the Lakes area to get their hair cut, beards trimmed, and engage in barbershop banter.

The couple launched this business while managing a household of four children, two of whom still attend Bob Graham Education Center, which is why the Galdamez’s are so invested in their community. It was a natural inclination to want to open their first business near their home town of over 20 years.

Services offered include haircuts, washes, eyebrow trimming, beard trimming and cuts, and all related grooming needs.

“We offer not only great service but ambiance,” said Aly. “We are a family friendly location with modern furnishings and what we want is for every customer to walk out of here feeling like a million bucks.”
