Main Street Players' auditions for Superior Donuts July 23-24

Main Street Players (MSP) located at 6766 Main Street, will be holding auditions for its fall production of “Superior Donuts.” Auditions will be held Monday, July 23 and Tuesday, July 24 from 7 until 10 p.m., with callbacks on Wednesday, July 25 from 7 until 10 p.m. 

This comedy-drama by Tony Award and Pulitzer Prize-winning author Tracy Letts explores the challenges of embracing the past and the redemptive power of friendship. Performance dates are September 28 through October 21, and the production will be directed by Danny Nieves.

Characters include: 

• Max Tarasov, a Russian male in his late 40’s to early 50’s;

• Officer Randy Osteen, an Irish American female in her late 40’s to early 50s;

• Officer James Bailey, an African American male in his late 30’s to early 40’s;

• Lady Boyle, a Russian American female in her 60’s to 70’s;

• Arthur Przybyszewski, a Polish American male in his late 50’s to early 60’s;

• Franco Wicks, an African American male in his early 20’s;

• Luther Flynn, a Irish/Italian American male in his mid to late 40’s;

• Kevin Magee, an Irish American male in his late 20’s to early 30’s; and

• Kiril Ivankin, a Russian male in his mid to late 30’s.

Audition requirements include a recent headshot and updated resume, a one-minute monologue and acknowledgment of any foreseeable conflicts during the rehearsal process. Actors will receive compensation for their performances in this production, and auditions will be conducted on a first come, first served basis.
