Five Women Wearing the Same Dress opens July 20 at Main Street Playhouse (MSP) located at 6766 Main Street. The young and talented cast of five women and one man have been rehearsing six days a week to bring this hilarious and touching comedy to life.
Auditions were held in late March, the show was cast and scripts were distributed to the cast while the director Tatyana-Marie Carlo, who is attending Brown University on a scholarship for an MFA in Directing, was in town for spring break.
With the beginning of summer break, rehearsals began June 25, and the cast and crew are working as a well-oiled machine to open the show. Working alongside director Tatyana-Marie Carlo is the production manager Patty Fernandez.
The cast consists of Icela Marliese as Frances, Lorena Estevez as Meredith, Amanda-Lynn Williams as Trisha, Thiana Berrick as Georgeanne, Rei Capote as Mindy and Kevin Rubi as Tripp.
Five Women Wearing The Same Dress runs July 20 through August 12, with shows on Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m. Tickets are $30 for adults and $25 for students, seniors and military personnel. Theatre League members/Industry $20 with I.D. presented at door.
Tickets may be purchased in advance at www.mainstreetplayers.com, or at the box office 60 minutes before show time. For more information, contact Patty Fernandez at (786)344-7551.
