Miami Lakes Bar Association installs officers; Lorenzo Cobiella elected president

The Miami Lakes Bar Association swore in its new officers and board of directors at the Don Shula Hotel on Thursday, January 30.

Attorney and former Miami Lakes Town Council candidate,  Lorenzo Cobiella, was elected president.

“I am honored that my peers elected me president and entrusted me to lead the Miami Lakes Bar for this coming year,” said Cobiella. “During my tenure, I will focus on three main objectives – providing educational opportunities for our members, promoting our members, and outreaching to our community.”

The Miami Lakes Bar Association was founded in 2005. Since its inception, it has been committed to providing its members and the legal community with meaningful networking and educational opportunities. Now, in its seventh year, the MBLA continues to grow and meet regularly.

Cobiella looks forward to being of service to the community.

“I believe that our mission is to engage our community by providing educational and pro-bono opportunities,” said Cobiella.

Also sworn in were president-elect Magaly Carballo, vice president Haydee Sera, secretary Barbara Amara, treasurer Genny Castellano, and board members Glorida Garcia, Damaris Pereira, Carlos Enriquez, Phillip Rarick, Amali Padron-Fragetta, Irama Camji, and Cassandra Jelenic.
