Miami Lakes Eye Care and Laservision Center has proudly served Miami Lakes for 30 years. Located  at 15600 N.W. 67 Avenue in Suite 210, the office serves patients of all ages and medical backgrounds. From a pair of glasses to laser vision correction surgery, the team at Miami Lakes Eye Care do what they can with confidence to make patients feel comfortable and taken care of.

“We take care of all patients and of all ages,” said administrator Barbara Zambrano. “We like to think that we take care of our patients from a very young age to the elderly. We have patients that, imagine, we’ve been here for 30 years. They were teenagers, and now their children are coming in to see us. We’ve had multiple generations come to see us. That is super cool.”

Since 1988, Dr. William Zambrano and Dr. Joseph Trentacoste have worked side-by-side providing better vision for Miami Lakes residents. Zambrano’s son, William Zambrano Jr. joined the team in 2014 shortly after graduating with his  Doctor of Optometry degree.

Additionally, Zambrano’s wife Barbara, has been working alongside her husband as the office administrator since day one. Even Trentacoste’s son currently works as an optician. The Miami Lakes Eye Care Center has employees that have been there for decades, making the office more like a family than a business.

“It’s fabulous, it’s wonderful,” said matriarch Zambrano about the office reaching its 30 year anniversary. “The care we give to our patients for the past years, and the confidence they have in us. Patients come to us because of who we are.”

In addition to serving the community, the Zambranos have been residents of the town since 1970. The family is also chock-full of local school alumni from schools like Monsignor Edward Pace High School, Dade Chrisitan School and Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic School.

“It’s a small family atmosphere town, and like everyone in Miami Lakes, you grew up here and you stay here. You start a family here,” explained Zambrano.

Although 30 years has come and gone, there have been few changes in the practice. Besides advancements in cataract surgery, lasek procedures or quality of eyeglasses, everything else has stayed the same.

“You know, I think we like to say that we’ve kept it the same way. We spend quality time with patients, and we don’t rush our patients. Since day one and 30 years later,” Zambrano said. “We give them the same quality we did 30 years ago as we do today. So what has changed? I don’t think we’ve changed.”
