Optimist Club schedules baseball/softball registration

The Optimist Club of Miami Lakes will be holding registration for its fall baseball/softball season, on three Saturdays, July, 28, August 4 and August 11, from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the club house, 6411 N.W. 162 Street.
Boys and girls ages 5 to 16 must bring copies of their birth certificates at the registration.
The fee is $175 per player.
Participants will have baseball and softball tryouts on August 13, 14 and 15 at Miami Lakes Optimist Park.
Practice begins on Wednesday, August 21 with opening day scheduled for Sunday, September 8.
The Optimist Club is seeking coaches and volunteers for the upcoming season.
