Orange Bowl Committee keeps 'cool' with ice cream truck

Community Tuesday, November 3, 2015

The Orange Bowl Committee last week kicked off the Orange Bowl Ice Cream Truck tour at its Miami Lakes office 14360 N.W. 77 Court. The truck will visit local communities throughout South Florida and hand out free ice cream in an effort to keep things “cool” during the Florida Fall.

At each stop, the Ice Cream Truck offers free creamsicles and the chance to meet Obie, the Orange Bowl mascot.

The Orange Bowl is a 363-member, primarily-volunteer non-profit sports organization that promotes and serves the South Florida community.

The Orange Bowl features a year-round schedule of events culminating with the College Football Playoff Semifinal at the Capital One Orange Bowl on December 31.

Other Orange Bowl core events include the MetroPCS Orange Bowl Basketball Classic, Orange Bowl Youth Football Alliance presented by Sports Authority, Orange Bowl International Tennis Championships, Orange Bowl International Youth Regatta, Orange Bowl Swim Classic and Orange Bowl Paddle Championships.
