At the western edge of Miami Lakes Business Park West where Commerce Way meets Northwest 82 Avenue, a set of two-story office and warehouse bays known as Crown Park at Miami Lakes, and another set of warehouses anchor the corner.

The complexes are home to a varied group of companies such as Prestige Windows & Doors; Andy’s Police Supply and shooting range; Airbag Center which provides replacement airbags for vehicles; Astro Instruments Service Corporation, which repairs and distributes aircraft parts and Advanced Technical Group, an engineering and consulting firm for software and electronics.

There is also Miami Dancity Studio; IERE Express International Couriers which ships to the Caribbean; VET-ESO/Vega Tech Solutions, a supplier of cellphones and other electronics; Internos Intuitive Technolgy IT services firm; Chi Alarms, Inc. fire protection services;  Luxor Developers home builders; Equi Estate residential and commercial real estate; and Horizon Electronics commercial security company.

There is even a beauty shop, Artistic Trendz Salon.

Vivo Real Estate Agent Tommy Gil said some Crown Park at Miami Lakes offices are what is known as flex spaces and owned by occupants.

Prestige Windows & Doors specializes in high-impact products for residential and commercial customers from West Palm Beach to the Upper Keys and Caribbean.

It moved four years ago from Miami Gardens to the larger warehouse complex that was built by The Graham Companies in 2018.

President Robert Scavuzzo lives in Palm Springs North and says it’s an easy commute for him.

“I’ve always loved Miami Lakes and I like being in a new building,” Scavuzzo said. “The business park is very nice and very well kept.”

It’s the main office and showroom for the company which has a second showroom in Boynton Beach.

“The employees like [Miami Lakes] because of its close proximity to I-75, the Palmetto and the Turnpike, so it’s easy access, we don’t have the traffic like Doral,” Scavuzzo said. “We have a lot of good customers in Miami Lakes, and we just want to continue to grow.”

About 40 years ago The Graham Companies developed the office park that is on the west side of town.

The Miami Lakes Architecture and Control Committee for Commercial properties enforces protective covenants for the design and height of new buildings in the park.

This is the ninth and final report about this unique neighborhood.
