Property Appraiser Pedro J. Garcia hosts workshop at Town Hall on July 15

Miami Lakes Elderly Affairs and Veterans committees are hosting a workshop with Miami-Dade County Property Appraiser Pedro J. Garcia at 11 a.m. on Monday, July 15, to discuss topics including Homestead Exemption and additional benefits available for qualified properties for Miami Lakes residents.
Having worked in the Florida real estate industry wince 1970, Garcia, a veteran of the U.S. Army and member of American Legion Post 0346, was the first elected Property Appraiser in Miami-Dade County in over five decades when he was elected in 2008.
Currently, Garcia’s top priority lies within pursuing and investigating Homestead Exemption fraud. Committed to ensuring fairness and equitable assessments for all property owners, Garcia hopes to share this with Miami Lakes residents.
The workshop will be held at Town Hall, 6601 Main Street, in Miami Lakes.
