There’s just something magical about Miami Lakes according to Ricardo Humaran, who shared his first date and proposed to his now-wife Lilibet Artola-Humaran on Main Street. Whatever it is that pulls Humaran in to the quaint town of Miami Lakes, it made him decide to open his own dental office here at 15495 Eagle Nest Lane, Suite 200.
Arriving from Cuba as a 12-year-old, Humaran followed in his mother’s footsteps, Norma Sixto, who was a dentist in Cuba and became a dental hygienist in the states. Humaran attended Florida International University to earn his undergraduate degree in biology and then attended the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey.
He is part of the American Dental Association, Florida Dental Association, South Florida Dental Association and he is board certified with the Northeastern Regional Board.
Humaran’s mother joined him in his new business venture and together they hope to offer patients a harbor from the fear of visiting the dentist.
“I know people are afraid to visit the dentist,” said Humaran. “It’s like I’m the villain! But really the bottom line is patients come to see me because they are in pain and my goal is to have them go home pain-free and healthy. We offer our services to improve your health."
Humaran places emphasis on bedside manner and even down to the timbre of his voice when conversing with patients, to make sure he is making them feel at ease and at home while under his care.
“I want everyone to feel as comfortable as possible, I know it seems silly to even consider the tone of my voice but it truly works. I want to make this a comfortable place to build relationships. This is more than a business to me.”
Services offered include, but are not limited to, dental implants, root canal, crowns, bridges, dentures, partial dentures, fillings, veneers, cosmetic dentistry, and oral surgery extraction.
