Miami Lakes resident Roberto Alonso Jr. has been appointed by Miami-Dade County Commission chairman Esteban Bovo Jr. to serve as his representative on the Miami-Dade County Planning and Zoning Board.
Alonso has been a lifetime resident of Miami Lakes and is the son of Town’s former Vice Mayor Roberto Alonso Sr. He and his wife, Alexandra, are the owner’s of Miami Lakes Adult Day Care. They have two children, Robbie and Oliver, who attend Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic School.
Alonso said he is excited about serving on this prestigious board and serving the residents, not only of Miami Lakes, but the entire county.
He will be joining another Miami Lakes resident, Wayne Rinehart, who is chairman of the Planning and Zoning Board. Rinehart has served for 15 years on the board and has been chairman for most of those years.
