Schweitzer-Ramras & Diaz, P.A., a family law attorney office at 7975 N.W. 154 Street. has been nominated for a client satisfaction award. The American Institute of Family Attorneys (AIOFLA) nominated the Miami Lakes-based office as one of the 10 Best Law Firms in Florida For Client Satisfaction.
“I do my job, and I take it very seriously. I do it with passion, and I think people can see that,” managing partner Madelin Diaz said.
The American Institute of Family Attorneys is an attorney-rating organization that issues a list of top 10 law offices in each state. The selection process is based on customer as well as peer nominations through research and AIOFLA’S own evaluation.
Because clients are a law office’s top priority, AIOFLA’s list shows potential clients how that office rates among others in reference as to how they treat patrons.
It all began with Marshall Schweitzer in 1990 along with his daughter, Darlene Schweitzer-Ramas. After the need for more family law legal services grew, Diaz joined the firm. After the loss of Darlene in 2012, Diaz became the sole partner and has been managing the firm since then. As tribute to her late partner, Diaz kept her name in the logo.
“I try to not only to be an attorney and look after their best interest, but I also try to be there as a person who understands what they’re going through,” Diaz said.
Known for her passion and fairness, it came as no surprise when she was nominated for this award. For as long as she can remember, Diaz always wanted to be an attorney.
“Since I was a little girl, everyone called me the public defender of the family,” Diaz said.
The agency was not always in Miami Lakes. Although Diaz has been a resident since 1989, the office itself hadn’t moved into the area until 2014.
