Dr. Craig Steiner is a fellowship trained orthopaedic surgeon that has recently joined the staff at Orthopaedic Center of South Florida, located at 7975 N.W. 154 Street in Miami Lakes. He specializes in the treatment of spinal disorders from the neck to the lower back including degenerative cervical and lumbar conditions such as herniated disk, radiculopathy, myelopathy, degenerative disc disease and spondylolisthesis. Steiner is a member of the North American Spine Society and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
Steiner provides both conservative and surgical care of the spine and works closely with his patients to custom tailor the treatment plan for each individual, providing safe and effective treatment to alleviate pain and restore function. When all non-surgical treatments fail, Steiner provides advanced surgical options for the neck and back, utilizing both open surgery as well as minimally invasive approaches when appropriate.
A native of New York, Steiner graduated Magna Cum Laude from Queens College, City University of New York. He obtained his medical degree at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. He completed his internship and residency in orthopaedic surgery at Temple University in Philadelphia, being selected as Chief Resident in his final year. He then had the privilege of completing fellowship training in spine surgery at Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City, the top ranked hospital for orthopaedic surgery in the nation.
