Stu Wyllie honored with Boy Scouts’ Silver Beaver award

The South Florida Council of Boy Scouts of America honored Stu Wyllie, president and CEO of The Graham Companies, on April 24 during the William “B” Graham Golf Tournament awards ceremony with the Silver Beaver Award. 

The honor is the Council-level distinguished service award of Boy Scouts of America. It was introduced as an award in 1931. and is given to those who implement the Scouting program and perform community service through hard work, dedication, and many years of service.

Wyllie was recognized by Scouting, primarily for his work with the William “B” Graham Golf Tournament. He served as co-chairman for the tournament for 19 years and chairman for five years. 

This tournament has raised over $1 million for local scouting during its 40 years of existence which have helped provide a Scouting program to the neediest youth in South Florida.
