The Graham Companies and the Miami Lakes Education Advisory Board are inviting students to apply for the 2024 Miami Lakes Future Leaders Scholarship.
High school seniors who attend schools in the Miami Lakes area and are graduating in the Class of 2024 can fill out the application for a chance to win one of two $1,500 scholarships.
To be considered for the award, a student must demonstrate academic achievement, a commitment to community service and be a resident of the Town of Miami Lakes.
The application package includes these documents:
• A completed cover sheet demonstrating the student’s residency and the application checklist
• An essay of up to 750 words that explains, in their own words, how they aspire to make the world a better place
• An official, sealed high school transcript
• Three letters of recommendation from non-relatives, one of which must be from a teacher or school official.
Completed applications must be submitted to Miami Lakes Town Hall, 6601 Main St., Miami Lakes, Fla. 33014 by April 5.
Winners will be announced during the Education Advisory Board’s Annual Awards of Excellence event on May 10.
