The hospitality industry is no easy gig. You need to keep up with guests’ and clients’ many wants and needs.
One way to do that is by making sure the people doing the work also feel happy and well looked after.
Graham Hospitality - the Graham Companies entity that includes Miami Lakes Hotel, Miami Lakes Golf Club and Miami Lakes Athletic Club - won best employee relations at the 30th Annual Inn Key Awards Luncheon.
The awards are presented by the Greater Miami and Beaches Hotel Association.
“This is a great reflection of the work The Graham Companies has put into supporting its employees across all divisions,” Graham Companies’ Human Resources Programs and Projects Specialist Jennifer Aleman said. “The programs and benefits behind this submission are something everyone here has a part in, and this award recognizes that.”
A team from the Graham Companies attended the luncheon at the Hilton Miami Downtown, where they picked up the award.
Graham Hospitality also nominated two employees for awards.
Miami Lakes Hotel reservations manager Adriana Cuenca was nominated for Lodging Employee of the Year while the hotel’s housekeeping supervisor, Alina Alvarez, was nominated for Roomkeeper of the Year.
