Town officials join in BankUnited’s opening of employee fitness center

Members of the Miami Lakes Town Council joins BankUnited executives on January 4 to celebrate the opening of the firm’s new 4,500 square-foot gym at its corporate headquarters in Miami Lakes. 

The new gym, and recently added Bridges Cafe which offers a variety of healthy dining options, reinforced BankUnited’s commitment to making the health and wellness of its employees a priority.

Use of the gym is offered free to all employees on weekdays from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., and is fully equipped with state-of-the-art fitness equipment. The gym also offers both fitness classes and health education events and activities. 

“We are confident that the facility will help us continue to attract and retain top talent and we have designed it to appeal to all ages and levels of fitness,” said Rajinder P. Singh, president and CEO. “Additionally, the fitness center will complement our ultimate goal of promoting health consciousness, especially when coupled with the healthy eating options available at our adjacent Bridges Cafe dining facility.”
