Carolina Padron, Library branch manager, Palm Springs North Branch Library, Doral

“I’ve been reading ‘The Last Thing He Told Me’ by Laura Dave. A patron turned it in and she commented on how good it was.”

“I saw it was a show on AppleTV so I was like let me read it, and it’s amazing [and] there is a sequel.”

Christina Amilcar, Library assistant, Palm Springs North Branch Library, North Miami

“‘Circe’ [by Madeline Miller] … I didn’t start yet. I just got it because I like Greek mythology and everything Greek.

“I read ‘The Heretic Queen’ by Michelle Moran loved that, I love Greek mythology, I like historical fiction.”

Janet Alcantara, Librarian, Palm Springs North Branch Library, Miami Gardens

“The book I’m reading is ‘Felicia’s Favourites’ by Danielle Steel; she’s one of my favorite authors.”

Miranda Garcia, Library page, Palm Springs North Branch Library, Miramar

“I am in a bit of a reading slump, so I’ve been focusing more on webtoons and web comics because it’s more visual heavy. It catches your attention a bit more, so in my case I’ve been doing a lot re-reading, like ‘Hello! Veterinarian!’ that made me cry. On Tapas [app] ‘The Knight Only Lives Today,’ ‘Inso’s Law’ [and] ‘Housekeeper of the Dungeon.’”

Nancy Matos Youth services specialist, Palm Springs North Branch Library, Country Club

“What I’m reading for myself is ‘Absolute Wonder Woman’; they did a reboot on DC [comics] that’s actually one of my favorites ...

“I’ve also finished up the latest Rick Riordan, ‘[The] Court of the Dead,’ that’s the young adult version, but I also have Miranda, Hart ‘[I haven’t been Entirely Honest]’, she is a fabulous comedian and she makes me laugh.”
