The Town of Miami Lakes has partnered with Loving Soles since 2013 to collect shoes for impoverished residents of Camillus House in downtown Miami, Town Clerk Gina Inguanzo said in a press statement.
This year, the Miami Lakes-based charity is working with students from town to coordinate collection efforts.
Miami Lakers and neighbors have donated more than 3,000 pairs of shoes during past drives, Inguanzo said.
