Annual Veterans Day Parade draws patriotic fans

Hundreds of families and children lined the sidewalks of Ludlam Road in the heart of Miami Lakes to observe the Town of Miami Lakes annual Veterans Day Parade on November 11. More than 3,000 participated in the parade itself including Town Councilmembers and their families, active duty and retired military service members, veterans’ groups, local high school and middle school marching bands and cheerleaders, ROTC units, various Scout troops, vintage military equipment, and more. Miami Lakes resident and former Army Sgt. Fred Senra was the Grand Marshall.
