Auditions for the premier of Secrets of the La Croix are set for February 10, 11, and 12 at the Main Street Playhouse located at 6766 Main Street, Miami Lakes, from 7 to 10 p.m.
This is the second production of 2014 opening on April 25 and running through to May 18. It is directed by the playwright David Michael Sirois.
Character breakdowns:
Roger La Croix, 45 - Head of the household. Postal worker who at the moment is more dedicated to getting his TV working than paying attention to his daughter.
Claire La Croix, 70 - Roger's mother. It would take everything to get her to move from her spot in the living room. Her one job seems to be making sure everyone else is doing theirs.
Teresa La Croix, 42 - Roger's wife. Though normally calm, she is frantic while trying to prepare for her son Kevin, who is coming home for Thanksgiving dinner.
Kevin La Croix, 21 - Roger's oldest son. Kevin is at Yale Law. He's got a big secret to tell. He is smart, sarcastic and he knows it.
Brad La Croix, 14 - Roger's youngest son. Brad has a purpose. And it's always getting to the next level in his video game. But everyone knows it's the quiet ones who are really accomplishing something.
Amber La Croix, 17 - Roger's daughter. Middle child syndrome. Ignored most of her life…all she wants is a little attention.
Jeffrey Rosenbaum, 24 - Kevin's best friend. Harvard Law graduate. Has known the La Croix family since he was a child.
Mickey, 66 - Next door neighbor. Comes over for the company and mainly to see Claire. He's Mr. Magoo meets Miss Malaprop.
Kristen, 25 - New neighbor. Extremely gorgeous and what some might call voluptuous. She's sweet, kind and smart.
