Miami-Dade County's public schools resume on Monday, August 24 to begin the 2015-2016 school year. Parents and students are urged to register early to avoid processing delays.
Two proofs of current address are required. Also required is a completion of a "Disclosure of Time of Registration" form, which can be obtained from Attendance Services.

Spring Recess: Monday, March 21 - Friday, March 25, 2016.
Teacher Planning Days (schools are closed): August 20, 21, September 14, 23, October 30, November 25, January 25, February 16, April 8, June 10.
Holidays: Labor Day (Sept. 7), Veteran's Day (Nov. 11), Thanksgiving (Nov. 26) Dr. Martin Luther King Day (Jan. 18), Presidents Day (Feb. 15), and Memorial Day (May 30).
Pre-Kindergarten, Kindergarten and first grade students will attend class from 8:20 a.m. to 1:50 p.m. Second through sixth grade students will attend school from 8:30 a.m. to 3:05 p.m.
On Wednesdays, all elementary school students will be dismissed at 1:50 p.m. Parents inquire with their child's school to confirm opening and dismissal times, since various schools have different bell schedules.
Hours at middle schools will be 9:10 a.m. to 3:50 p.m. Senior high school hours are from 7:20 a.m. to 2:20 p.m. Various middle schools operate on Senior High school times.
