Boy Scout Troop 566 seeks new scouts

     Boy Scout Troop 566 recently earned merit badges and certifications during a trip to Camp Rainey Mountain in Georgia. The troop, chartered by Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church, is hosting a Oct. 11 recruiting event at the parish hall for boys and girls ages 11 to 17 to learn about scouting and upcoming activities such as camping at the Space Center and in the Keys; rock climbing, water skiing and more. It begins at 7:30 p.m., at 15801 NW 67th Ave. in Miami Lakes.
