Clark Gable Slept Here opens on February 2

In February, The Main Street Players will present “Clark Gable Slept Here,” the second show of the 2017-2018 season. This dark comedy by local playwright Michael McKeever, is two steps short of a farce. The fast-paced play is a peek behind the curtain of life in the Hollywood fast lane.

The show takes place in a suite at the classic hotel Chateau Marmont on the night of the Golden Globe Awards. What transpires is a bleak, tragic and unapologetically hilarious look at what the movers and shakers of Tinsel Town are willing and able to do in order to keep and preserve their secrets and the status quo of the Hollywood mystique and lifestyle. The show is directed by John Ferry, with Dennis Lyzniak as the production manager.

The cast includes Jarrod “Hilly” Hilliard (Clint Archambault), Morgan Wright (Sandi Stock), Gage Holland (Chris D’Angelo), Travis (Roderick Randle), and Estella (Marcela Paguaga).

“Clark Gable Slept Here” runs February 2 through February 25, with shows on Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m. The play will take place at Main Street Playhouse on 6766 Main Street. Tickets are $30 for adults and $25 for students, seniors and military personnel. Theatre League members $20 with I.D. at the door only.  Tickets may be purchased in advance at www.mainstreetplayers.com, or at the box office 60 minutes prior to showtime.
