Feb. 29 HELP (Health Emergency Life Protection) Class Miami-Dade Fire Rescue teaches basic lifesaving skills such as adult and pediatric, hands-only CPR; early stroke recognition; stopping the bleed and blocked airway emergencies for adults, children and infants. Interactive lecture and hands-on practice. This is awareness level training with minimal physical activity for those without medical backgrounds. Miami Lakes Youth Center, 6075 Miami Lakes Drive. 6 p.m. Free. March 16 Skate Miami Lakes Grab your skateboard, rollerblades, roller skates or scooter and join this monthly program, with the nonprofit organization SkateFree. Participants must bring their own equipment. Miami Lakes Youth Center. 6075 Miami Lakes Drive. Free. 10 a.m.

March 21 Mount Sinai Health Lecture: Diabetes 101 & What You Need to Know. Join the Elderly Affairs Committee for this free talk. Town Hall, 6601 Main St. Free. 11 a.m. 

March 22 Senior Bingo Luncheon Join the Elderly Affairs Committee for bingo, a meal, fun and prizes. Roberto Alonso Community Center, 16500 NW 87th Ave. Ages 60+. Free. 11 a.m.

March 30 Spring Fling Easter Egg Hunt The Town of Miami Lakes and its Youth Activities Task Force present the annual Spring Fling Easter Egg Hunt at Veterans Park, 15151 NW 82nd Ave. 10 a.m. - 1 p.m.  Kids can pick up as many eggs as they can handle in the open field, for free. Face painting, a petting zoo and pony rides are available at $5 for each event or $15 for all three. Egg hunters will be separated by age: Up to 2 years old; 3-to-5 years old and parent-free zones for kids ages 6 - 8 and 9 - 12. High school students who wish to volunteer should contact Ernesto Soto at sotoe@miamilakes-fl.gov. Tickets available on toml.eventbrite.com.
