Learn about the housing market in Miami Lakes during a talk with Mayor Manny Cid; Principal Town Planner Susana Alonso; Miami-Dade County Property Appraiser Pedro Garcia and Natascha Tello, broker with Keller Williams Realty. March 21 Mount Sinai Health Lecture: Diabetes 101 & What You Need to Know Join the Elderly Affairs Committee for this free talk. Town Hall, 6601 Main St. Free. 11 a.m. 

 

March 22 Senior Bingo Luncheon  Join the Elderly Affairs Committee for bingo, a meal, fun and prizes. Roberto Alonso Community Center, 16500 NW 87th Ave. Ages 60+. Free. 11 a.m.

 

March 30 Spring Fling Easter Egg Hunt The Town of Miami Lakes and its Youth Activities Task Force present the annual Spring Fling Easter Egg Hunt at Veterans Park, 15151 NW 82nd Ave. 

10 a.m. - 1 p.m.  Kids can pick up as many eggs as they can handle in the open field, for free. Face painting, a petting zoo and pony rides are available at $5 for each event or $15 for all three. 

Egg hunters will be separated by age: Up to 2 years old; 3-to-5 years old and parent-free zones for kids ages 6 - 8 and 9 - 12.

April 6 American Legion Post 144 Annual Picnic Open to all veterans, members of the military and their families. Veterans Park, 15151 NW 82nd Ave. 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. Free. 

 

April 6 Community Bike Ride for Autism Awareness Month. Join the Town of Miami Lakes and its Neighborhood Improvement Committee for a two hour ride around town dedicated to raising awareness and support. Wear the symbolic blue color or decorate your ride with autism awareness ribbons and symbols. Depart from the Miami Lakes Youth Center, 6075 Miami Lakes Drive. Rider registration and sign in at 7:30 a.m. Free.
