Nov. 2 Miami Lakes Bar Association Domino Tournament. The Miami Lakes Bar Association will host its inaugural domino tournament. Nov. 2 Miami Lakes Farmers Market. The Florida Marketplace Group presents the weekly Saturday market with a variety of vendors of produce, clothing and crafts. At the corner of Main Street and New Barn Road. 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Nov. 3 45th Annual Veterans Parade. The Town of Miami Lakes and its Veterans Committee will present the longest running parade in Miami-Dade County with local marching bands, civic organizations, elected officials and veterans from Miami Lakes. The parade starts at 10 a.m. and will step off at the corner of New Barn Road and Northwest 67 Avenue. Nov. 7 Senior Bingo Luncheon. Join the Elderly Affairs Committee for their bingo luncheon, with fun and prizes for players 60+. Roberto Alonso Community Center, 16500 NW 87th Ave. 11 a.m. Free. 

Nov. 7 Miami Lakes Chamber of Commerce’s 24th Annual Business Expo. Check out local businesses and their offerings there will be music, light bites and refreshments, fun games and raffles. Miami Lakes Hotel on Main, 6842 Main St. Free. 5p.m. – 8p.m. Register at miamilakeschamber.com

Nov. 9 Autism Fall Festival. Presented by the Miami Lakes Special Needs Advisory Board along with the Center for Autism & Related Disabilities. Music; food; games; a bounce house; face painting and magic show. Nov. 14 Seizure Recognition & First Aid Training by Epilepsy Alliance Florida. Learn to recognize seizures and learn first aid. Miami Lakes Town Hall, 6601 Main St. 11 a.m. Free. 

Nov. 20 Rain Barrel/Water Conservation Workshop. Learn about conserving rainwater through the Florida Yards & Neighborhood Program by Miami-Dade County Water & Sewer Department. Learn how to harvest rainwater and install a rain barrel. There will be a plant giveaway. Miami Lakes Town Hall, 6601 Main St. Free. Nov. 21 Mount Sinai Health Lecture: Non-Surgical Options for Knee Osteoarthritis. The Miami Lakes Elderly Affairs Committee and Mount Sinai Medical Center will host Dr. Alan Hyman for a talk on non-surgical options for knees. Miami Lakes Town Hall, 6601 Main St. 11 a.m. Free. 

Nov. 23 39th Annual Festival of Lights Presented by The Graham Companies and Main Street Merchants. Student performances, DJs; Children’s Corner, family fun for all, 3:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. Bring an unwrapped toy to donate. Santa lights 6700 Main St. at 6:30 p.m. Free.

Nov. 26 Senior Field Trip to the Movies. Seniors 65+ can join the Elderly Affairs Committee for its field trip to see the movie “Wicked.” CMX Cinemas Miami Lakes, 6711 Main St. 11 a.m. Free.
