Sept. 14 Miami Lakes Chamber of Commerce luncheon, Miami Lakes Hotel on Main, 6842 Main St. Guest speaker is Miami-Dade County Asst. Property Appraiser Lazaro Solis. 11:30 a.m. Register at https://www.miamilakeschamber.com.

Sept. 15 Mental Health Night at Town Hall. Do you know the warning signs? Panel discussion for parents to connect with resources for children, teens and themselves. Presented by The Education Advisory Board and the Town of Miami Lakes. 6601 Main St. Free. 6:30 p.m. 

Sep. 16 Constitution Day event. Join the Town of Miami Lakes, Virtutem Populo, and the EPIC Foundation for presentations on the Constitution. The event is aimed at high school students, but all are welcome to attend. There will be guest speakers, activities and more. Sep. 17 International Coastal Clean-up Day. Earn community service hours by participating in the annual Coastal Clean-up Day. Buses depart from the Miami Lakes Youth Center to Virginia Key Dog Beach. Town of Miami Lakes Youth Center, 6075 Miami Lakes Drive. Free. 8 a.m.

 Sept. 17 Culinary Bike Tour. The annual Culinary Bike Tour presented by the Economic Development, Cultural Affairs and Neighborhood Improvement committees. Pedal and enjoy sips and treats from area restaurants. Ride begins at 6 p.m. at Town Hall, 6601 Main St. $30 per person, go to toml.eventbrite.com.

Sept. 22 Zonta Club of Miami Lakes Meeting, Trattoria Pampered Chef Restaurant, 7347 Miami Lakes Drive in the Cypress Village Shopping Center.  Meet and Greet at 6:30 p.m., general meeting/dinner at 7 p.m. Cost is $30 for Zonta members, free for first time attendees. Sept. 23 to Oct. 16. “Topdog Underdog,” presented by The Main Street Players. The Players’ third show of the season is directed by Carey Brianna Hart. Main Street Playhouse, 6812 Main Street. Sept. 24 Mayor’s Charity Gala and Casino Night with a Great Gatsby theme to benefit the Special Needs Advisory Board. Enjoy dancing, drinks, a buffet dinner and casino games. The event is 21+. Roberto Alonso Community Center, 16500 NW 87 Ave. $100 per person. 7:30 p.m. 

Sept. 24 Bike Rodeo and Safety Day. Kids can learn about bicycle safety and interact with police officers during this event sponsored by the Memorial Healthcare System and the Miami Lakes Youth Activities Task Force. Veterans Park, 15151 NW 82nd Ave. Free. 9 a.m.

Sept. 25 Ms. Senior Miami Lakes. The Elderly Affairs Committee invites women 60+ to compete in a pageant that celebrates their 60+ years of happiness. Oct. 1 E- Sports Tournament at The Spot. Kids ages 11- to-16 can square off in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate during the first E-Sports tournament at The Spot. Players are encouraged to bring their own Wii U and Nintendo Switch Controllers. Miami Lakes Youth Center, 6075 Miami Lakes Drive. Free. 10 a.m.

Oct. 3 Town Council Candidates’ Forum, hosted by former Miami-Dade County Mayor Alex Penelas. 6:30 p.m., Town Hall, 6601 Main St. It will be livestreamed on the town website and social media pages.
