The free, drive-thru COVID-19 testing site in Miami Lakes has new hours this week for New Year's Eve and New Year's Day.
The site, at the former Hotel Indigo at 7601 Miami Lakes Drive, is a partnership between The Graham Companies, which owns the property, and Longview Technology Services of Herndon, Va.
The normal hours are Monday - Friday from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m., and Saturday - Sunday from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.
On New Year's Eve, Friday, Dec. 31, the site will shut down early at 1:30 p.m. and will remain closed on Saturday, Jan. 1, New Year's Day.
No appointment is necessary. Demand for testing has led to long lines of traffic along Miami Lakes Drive and in the parking lots of the former hotel and next door at Shula's Golf Course.
Patients can expect results via email 48 hours after their PCR nasal swab test has been delivered to a lab.
