On a beautiful Sunday in April in downtown Miami Lakes, people visited Main Street to see beautifully restored cars and trucks.
The free, family-friendly 8th Annual Miami Lakes Cars for a Cure featured a pig roast and beer garden and live performances by the Hialeah-Miami Lakes Senior High School Trojan Marching Band, as well as country music artist Ricky Valido and dance music band Mantrap, who donated their talents, organizers said.
Funds raised will go to Alex’s Place outpatient clinic for kids at the University of Miami Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center.
