Community Thursday, January 19, 2017

Miami Lakes Cultural Affairs Committee will host its annual Jazz Concert in the Park at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, January 28, at Picnic Park West, 15151 N.W. 82 Avenue.

The free jazz concert will feature the renowned talent of the Jackson Bunn Group. Jackson Bunn was born in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. He began learning songs from movies, television, and radio on the piano at age 6. He studied piano and viola through high school in Chicago.
After many years in Chicago, his family moved to Miami where he recorded his original jazz project “The Jackson Bunn Group” and began playing at clubs and festivals throughout Florida.
For the last 13 years, Bunn has been employed as a music teacher with Miami-Dade Public Schools. He and his wife, Ana, are long time residents of Miami Lakes.

Concertgoers are reminded to bring blankets, picnic baskets, friends and family for an evening of relaxing music under the stars.
