On June 15, Boy Scout and Barbara Goleman Senior High (BGSH) student Brandon Chicardini from Troop 565 completed his Eagle Scout project at BGHS. The service project consisted of beautifying an area of the school in front of the Capstone building. Chicardini collected funds, designed and planned the project which he called “Capstone Gardens", bought all the needed materials and gathered a group of volunteers to help get this project done.
To build the garden, the land was cleared and prepared, plants were bought and planted and the terrain was covered with mulch. The final touch was a seven foot wide sign with the word "Gators" to show pride for the school. The Eagle Project is the final requirement in the Boy Scout journey to acquiring the Eagle Scout rank. Chicardini will be a senior at BGSH this fall.
